Wrong year crank

Recommended Posts

I have a 2006 kx85 and bought an engine rebuild kit.

After pulling the crank in i realised it's the wrong end on the crank, the original one haside a circle clip and the new one has a thread.

Can I get away with putting a washer and nut on as there is plenty of space.

If so does anyone have a nut and washer or know where I can get them from its left hand thread.

It does fit and I think I can put a nut and washer on the new crank instead of having a cir clip.

I wouldn’t.
Check the other end. I believe you will find that the flywheel keyway is also not in the same timing angle as the original.

Oh never thought of that. Cheers mate
