KY Stolen Dirt bike

Recommended Posts

I was hoping to never have to post a stolen thread and not sure if this is the right place to put it but I had my bike stolen morning of 25-FEB-19. Please be on look out for a 2013 KTM 85/105 picture below I take my license plate off when I park it so it will not have a plate on it.

-Black and orange Nihilo seat cover

-Rekluse clutch cover

-P3 Carbon pipe guard

-Flatland skidplate

-Handguards

-Blue Athena sticker on rear fender

-Black DID wheels, orange hubs

-IMS large fuel tank

-Headlight and Tailight

-Nihilo water pump cover

-Orange powdercoated frame

-New orange and black shift lever

Any tips are greatly appreciated, I worked hard to buy this and put a lot of time into making it what I wanted.

Hate that for ya man. I too was a victim last August. Luckily recovered mine in October. I can tell you one thing. If you don't go to all the county sheriffs departments surrounding you and give them pics and vin numbers, and make sure they ask every deputy to look for it and report back on any bike that was recovered, you won't get it back. They don't talk to each other, they don't even call each other and let each know about stolen bikes. They think it's enough to put it in the national database. I found mine on my own after posting flyers around a 30 mile area.

Thanks for the reply! I have visited everywhere trying to get leads, talked to what seems like a million people but unfortunately nothing. I understand the PDs have bigger problems to work out so it is all up to the owner to make sure word gets out. Hopefully I am lucky like you and it turns up. And soon because racing season has already started...

Less than 6 degrees of separation, wouldn't surprise me. Luckily I have the plate off it so I hope the dirtbag who did steal it gets caught on the road. I generally try not to talk about my bikes and don't have any stickers on my truck since that screams "case my place and steal my stuff." Not worth advertising what you have at least in my mind.

Did you determine who stole yours and any connection they had to someone you knew?

I had a bike stolen back in the day. The punk was casing my joint, and knew when I left and arrived at my crib. Some how, sticky fingers knew how to get into the garage and swipe my YZ. LOL! Kudos to the little bastard! The police found it in a field, and gave me a ride to it, and I had a cruiser escort me back to the garage. I was lucky. Funny thing is I was going to college and working long hours so I didn't even notice it was gone. The police told me the little putz was riding it at midnight in a farmers field. I checked out the damage, the clutch basket was cracked, piston was trashed, back side panels were tore up, and the rear fender was mangled. So I scraped up some dough and slowly returned it to "like new". After that I chained it to a fridge in the garage, and the little prick never returned......?
