2017 Crf250r Spark Arrestor?

Recommended Posts

Have a stock 2017 Crf250r, looking to see if anyone has rigged up their own spark arrestor in their stock exhaust? Or do I just have to go with a new exhaust. Living in Michigan the DNR require spark arrestors on our trail system. Thanks

Thanks Dave. I saw a couple guys running those. I was thinking just going single aftermarket exhaust at that point. Think the caps are about 110 a piece, which I would need two for my duals on my stock exhaust. For the price I think I’d just go for aftermarket exhaust. Just seeing if anyone’s ever broken down the stock and made their own drop in style spark screen.

People have done it, but if you get pulled over by a ranger and he looks at it and it doesn't say USFS approved Spark Arrestor, he may or may not give you a ticket. Unlikely situation but it does happen. Also I know they will do the stick test to see if it holds when he pokes at it. A lot of the time when they do that, it breaks or loosens up. Then you are in trouble.
