New bike going home. 086EE4EB-8D66-4DF3-B312-C0AB80AC9C91.jpeg.0bf6ddc16a8cb3e6d92b7d640b976fcf.jpeg

I got the bike home today and rode it around at house a little bit.

Debating whether I should take it for a spin this weekend, or wait until more of the armor bits get here.

And I should tear it down, check grease, and dielectric grease all the fittings before going out.

Maybe a short easy ride. I really want to ride it.

Spark arrestor is on it.

Decided on the FMF.

I put the factory guard back on with it.

Doesn't fit perfect, but good enough to provide some protection.

The small side panels really leave it exposed.

It seems to be almost as tall as my YZ250. Even though it’s listed as having a 2 inch lower seat. Maybe the suspension needs to settle in.

The EVO is happy to have another Italian in the garage.

I think the Japanese bikes have been picking on her.

Also debating if I should go ahead and put the kickstart on. It bothers me not having it. And if I’m going to have it taken apart like that, throw in a Rekluse.

It’s definitely different to work on.

Yes, dielectric grease all fittings. I tore mine down and did it and haven't had any electrical issues.  Now that green thing under the gas cap and stock coolant is another story.

Ride it!

You're not going to be mashing it too hard during break in anyway.

Went to the dealership this morning with a pretty healthy list of parts.

Parts counter took the list, said they’d look everything up and get back to me with the cost.

Still waiting. ?

Really wanted to get those parts on order and on the way today.

You should cancel that order and work with a couple dealers/posters here that have proven themselves.

I was told the kickstart kit is on backorder. ? FML

Maybe @motoxgiant can come up with one of those.

I will tell you, NorCal is a great place to be a Beta owner.

Dealer network is thick and they’re all pretty good people.

Rekluse? You sure about that? Take it on some gnar before doing that. Very hard to stall once jetted right. Great traction too using manual clutch.

Cycra? Ew! Get enduro engineering. JMO

P3? What? May as well use tin foil as they're both equally effective at pipe protection. Invest in a P-Tech. Save all that Rekluse money and get an actual pipe guard. JMO. :busted:

Why an hour meter, the stock dash has one built in.

My list was

Brp sub mount, hand guards, spark arrester, s3 heads, radiator guards, skid plate, Suzuki needles, pv spring adjuster, tps delete, new tires, and probably a rekluse.

I have ridden it and i have had it flame out a couple times. Also in the tight stuff 1st is a bit snappy and second is a touch tall, so I think 2nd with a rekluse will be perfect.

My buddy talked me into taking it out tomorrow.

He just installed a GET ECU on his TE300i and says he’s going to be messing with that all day.

So, easy shakedown, Break in, testing stuff day.

The parts....,

Rekluse starts a lot of debates. Unless the clutch pull is like the one on my Trials bike, it’s going on.

It’s not the first hour of the day that it really shines. It’s the last hour of a long day or a 80-90 mile long Enduro.

I’ve ridden with one for a long time and have adapted to it.

I use a AXP skid plate with P3 pipe guard on my other bike and really like the combo.

Light weight and doesn’t reflect the sound like an aluminum skid plate. The P3 offers enough protection without the weight.

AXP for the Beta on the way from Slavens. (With another Nitromousse  Soft)

I forgot...Bulletproof Designs Radiator guards are on the list.

I have FLO on the other bike and really like them.

But noticed on the Beta that with full lock to the right it just touches the louvers. That’s fine with plastic, no good with aluminum. Bulletproof Designs are a screen instead of louvers like the FLO, so it shouldn’t be  problem.

Not married to the idea of the Cycra if there’s a good argument for the EE.

My buddy uses the EE on his Husky. I’ll check them out tomorrow.

Hour meter....I plan on using the race loom at some point.  Also, the stock computers can have a less than stellar record

And add a fan kit.

Tires will be later also.

Front GT216AA Fatty w/ standard Nitromousse.

Rear D803GP w/ Soft Nitromousse.

So what is the deal with the green thing under the cap? I replaced the stock coolant on my ‘19 300rr with Engine Ice already.

Totally agree.

Mine has lots of marks and a small crack or two on the outer layer.

It's a valve that lets air in but not out. Still running mine.

It's a valve for gas vapors for emissions. I talked to Beta USA rep who suggested removing it as it can cause over pressurization of the gas tank.

I took mine out first day and run a freeflo vent hose.
