You should start a thread and tell us more about it. Love the aluminum tank, gold wheels, and how clean it is. Did you paint or powder coat the frame? What exact color did you go with if you remember? Just trying to decide on what route to go with a frame and subframe. Thx!!

Heres my 99 yz400f, I did a total frame up restoration on this bike, along with rebuilding the engine, I even shaved the seat down to fit my butt better lol. Took me months and months and months, I made it look more WRish to ride on the rd.

Frame was painted, two pack then lacquered, not sure on colour as was matched by my local paint shop. Aluminium tank was fitted later than the above pics, was used in mx gps when they rode 45 minute plus two lap motos, were made by vrp in Italy. I have a full rinaldi barrel, piston and head for it too.

1996 YZ250...

Yrrd Engine, Solva shock, forks Solva on their way, alloy tank, special cylinder head.

Totally smooth and powerful engine, no hard hit but power everywhere.

I’ve done a few restorations. 99-2006. 97D1C0AE-92E4-404F-91FE-06A91235A6EB.thumb.jpeg.c34f98def23b7a61ee1156de02b19487.jpeg5E7BB4C6-952C-4F83-BB83-A5C50F6C5202.jpeg.f091a144265a0ae33d2fc99eac666215.jpegA6B8099C-CA23-435B-A20E-3E41AA2D240F.jpeg.5263dbd207c0d2543180d4341b54dcb9.jpeg

I came an ace of using the graphics you have in that middle picture but decided to just go with plain blue and just slap all the stickers on it that I got with the replacement parts I bought. First bike I had ever done in that much detail and it was definitely waaaay more work than I thought it would be without a doubt but I finely got it done. I originally was just gonna reshim the valves and all of a sudden it was in 100 pieces laying around everywhere lol. Those are good looking yz's you have for real

You've never seen my restoration thread?

That is only 2 of the 30+ I have restored over the past 9-10 years.

125 was a client #29, 250 is my 325X #30 or 31.
