  I haven't played with tire pressure on the 33. I get a LOT of flats, so I just tend to run min 13 in front and haven't varied it yet.

When I lived in Colorado and rode C470 ThundervalleyI had the same issue, wouldn't run mouse either. 

Would have to bump up and down between there and Watkins and it kind of spooked me

The front isn't that exceptional until you are in sand. They use them a lot here.

I like the 33 better than the 3s.  Seems to work well in a bigger variety and seems more durable.  I'm far from pro though.  Lots of good tires out there.  I think the better the rider the less sensitive you are to different tires

[Shhhh]

Michelin starcross5 mid soft front and rear.  Everything from blow sand (90%), to roots and hard pack.  As close to the tried and true S12 that you can get.  Work pretty well everywhere, and wears like iron.  Glad to be back on Michelins.
