chain block

im sure i can figure it up when ill open it, but i wanted to know in advance: do i need to remove the chain to replace the chain block(black rubber) under the swingarm?

I'm pretty shure you don't have to remove anything. you just have to wiggle it a lot to get it off.

The stock buffer can definitely be replaced without removing the swing arm. If you're crafty enough you may be able to get it in with the chain in place, but it's going to be hard. I removed the chain when I replaced mine.

I think you are going to get to remove the swingarm too! It is all fun not to worry.

Having just replaced my stock unit that I boogered up, I can vouch for the fact that you do not have to remove the chain to replace the guide.
