Jetting using exhaust gas analyzer

Recommended Posts

Is the best way to get your jetting right to use an exhaust gas analyzer? (Either with or without a dyno)

it is a waste of time and money.

Agree 100% unless it's your own analyzer and/or Dyno...

More useful for setting closed throttle idle mix in the shop, especially with multiple carburetors.  If you can't load the motor like on a dyno, or riding, the data is of no real value at other throttle settings.

Most guys just do it by trial and error... and online forums.

Some will install a wide band O2 sensor and display... overkill but fun.

Easiest is just buy a JD jetting tuning kit for $79
