JohnFox1336 Posted September 27, 2019 Quick question... Are the main jet and pilot jet inside the float bowl supposed screwed in until fully tight or remain a little loose?
BibleTHUMPER My Ride Posted September 27, 2019 It's one of those "tight but not over-tight" things. Brass strips too easy and (my screwdrivers) are worn making it easy to wreck the slot on the jet head. Jets can loosen too - I had one back right off to almost falling right out (wouldn't start so inspected the carb and main jet came out with a 1/4 turn). So they have to be tight. Quick question... William1 My Rides (2) Posted September 27, 2019 Snug. A gunsmith screwdriver (straight shaft and not flaring out at the tip) is important for the pilot, you do not want to jam a regular driver in there and break the carb body. I've seen that too often. You are better off to err on the side of loose, have a jet fall out rather than super tight and become frozen in place.
