AEES Posted September 29, 2019 So im running (on a 450 SXF 2018): WP Cone Valve 385ml 12r 23c 1 click preload 4.8nm 0.30 float. Comp valved softer from stock. Trax shock with 48nm 23c 17r HSC 34, (~40/104-105mm, ~6mm preload). Rebound valved slower + LSC revalved softer on shock. Using full stroke on the fork without harsch landing so oil level is good. Bike is balanced and turns great, but a bit harsh when breaking bumps get bigger. I cant go stiffer overall on comp (clickers), and i have tried less HSC and more LSC on shock but it just refuses to go through the initial part of the stroke and becomes nervous. Faster rebound in front and the bike just get very tall and front end start slipping and pushing. Would an increase in float to 0.40 or 0.50 even and going in on comp clickers instead provide more plushness in braking bumps?
mog Posted September 29, 2019 Sounds a lot of float ,but I don't know the cone valves well
