Is it possible for me to NOT buy a 300RE ?

Recommended Posts

The force is strong with this one. I may have to upgrade. Once it hits BYOB I will fill up some spare time with builds

Get that 300 RE.

I will wonder if you ever do, if you'll ever go back to 4S.

If I could have a pure offroad/enduro bike, it will be 2S.  Even for a pure snowbike I know a 300 2S is where it is at for my lightweight/featherweight/bantamweight-ass.

The big, heavy 500 is just keeping me in shape in my advancing=Vet age-=ha!

My buddy has a CR500 converted to sno bike. but he said the carb kept freezing up on him. He had to put it on his 500exc because the fi worked better in the cold

Two strokes have more problems, that FI, in the cold.

It is solved a couple of ways, carb jackets and engine jackets that keep the heat in the big hunks of metal or more commonly, carb heaters where the coolant is piped to machined pieces that clamp around the intake-sides of the carbs to eliminate the icing.  It costs some money but the payoff is no icing and a motor that will run in the cold and snow.

I had converted my BIL's KTM 300 and had installed both a SmartCarb and a carb heater from PST Powersports and it runs awesome.

I used to have both a 1985 CR500R and a 1996 CR500R and can only imagine how nice it would have been to still have the 96 as a snowbike as the bikes were pretty awesome as woods-bikes, no matter what anyone says.

FI is nice in the cold.  No need to jet.  No need for choke.  Just twist and go, point and shoot.

Is it ????

If KRAN the Ultimate 2T Hater gets one of these, Red the Ultimate Beta Hater is going to end up turning to the dark side.

So many questions...what is a carb vent system 2? For an old guy who isn’t good is the 300 re worth the extra over the rr? This old guy is fat too so suspension needs work right away! Asking for a friend......

Tell your *ahem* friend that the RE is for looks and the RR is for riding. Springs easily obtained from after hours cycle.

Yes it's possible, just keep waiting 'til they are all gone.. If I had your money I'd burn mine.🤣

I guess you aren't too worried about fires in your riding area..Not a tree to be found.
