what’s a good lithium battery for my bike?

Recommended Posts

i've got a 2k18 yz450f n i've had to replace my battery three time and now i'm due for another one my first battery went bad because i wasn't aware i needed a different charger for it i bought a tusk lithium ion battery with the risk lithium ion charger for around 100 i think that battery went bad n wouldn't charger after a few months of use to i spent $350 for the battery that originally comes with the bike i haven't had to touch it once it's been working great all summer until last night my battery was completely dead after the bike had sat for a few hours it went dead for no reason at all and i was guessing that it wasn't gonna hold a charge anymore but i managed to charge it to 12.4 volts but that's as high as it'll go and it barely has the juice to turn over my motor, i'm wondering if anyone can give me the link to a reliable battery that i can use for my bike because i'd rather spend the money once then have to pay $350 for a new one every 6 months.

I've had four batteries on my sons 2017 Husky FC250 from new, stock one, two Shido and a JMT. I've tried keeping them charged with a dedicated lithium charger, I've tried not charging them at all, I've tried leaving them connected to the bike, I've tried removing them from the bike when not in use. The outcome is always the same, after six months or so they just die, so if anyone knows of a way I can stop this happening, i would much appreciate it, cheers.

I’ve never done anything to any of my batteries, I have a Tusk Lithium Ion battery that I’ve had for 4 years. Had it in my WR and after I sold it I put it into my wife’s TTR225. I’ve had my YZ450FX for 1.5 years and never had it on a charger, still OEM battery in it. Both spin a little slow when it’s cold, but I just hold it down for 15ish seconds to warm it up and then it’s fine. I also like AGM lead acid batteries, they are heavy but work well.

Someone has told me about Antigravity batteries but I'm yet to find out if they do one for the FC as most seem to be for enduro bikes and are tok big to fit the FC's battery tray.
