Why does the TC125 clutch slave have 3 different gaskets?

I had the slave off the motor during the rebuild and noticed in the parts fiche that there were 3 thicknesses of gasket offered. I didn't see anything in the Husky manual about which to use so I installed the medium one. Does anyone have a link to the manual that would explain how the .005mm thickness would make a difference?

You are meant to use the right stack to get the clearance you want ,but I don't know how to determine it
