MxWrench91 Posted October 1, 2019 I've just finished replacing my steering stem bearings with a Pivot Works kit and with everything torqued back down my steering stem sits below the top of the nut. I can't remember if the stem used to meet the top of the nut flush or rise a little above, but it definitely didn't sit below. I've rechecked my install twice and cannot find any issues. Has anyone ran into this before? Are the pivot works bearings slightly thicker than oem?
mikedabike Posted October 2, 2019 Did you get the bottom bearing pressed on the stem all the way? Also make sure you didnt press the stem part way out the bottom of the clamp when installing the bearing.
