Vegan mx racer?

Recommended Posts

I cant really answer this because I haven't watched it yet and have zero intent on stopping eating delicious animals.

But I did see a video "vegan debunks The Game Changers" out of interest. I deliberately wanted to hear the vegan female leftist millenial take on this. Long story short she was NOT a fan of the film and described many statements as lies.

As for TT, wrong demographic lol. This place is huntera and petrol heads.I would hit up MTB forums instead in your shoes lol.

@adrian_vg you're a vegan arent you? Any insight for this young man?

For what it's worth I've eaten what I feel is my fair share of veggo dishes as my girlfriend is a Buddhist and occasionally goes off meat.

Hey peps

So I’ve recently gone vegetarian after watching “The Game Changer” I’m really considering going completely vegan. I’m feeling the best I’ve ever felt 2weeks in to vegatirian. Is there any top riders out there doing this?

What was your diet before? Doing any sort of diet that's cleaner then what you did previously is going to make you feel awesome.

6 years plant-based for me. 48 years old and feel better than ever.

I raced bicycles for about 8 years, and made the decision during that time. My athletic performance improved, as did my results. Plenty of HIIT and endurance training...

I won't go into a long winded explanation as to why, but it was the best decision Ive ever made for my physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Many people try and fail, because its not something they truly want to do. And they're lazy, and don't take the time to properly educate themselves on (unbiased) nutrition.

Do your research, and you'll find plenty of successful elite athletes who are plant-based. Rich Roll and Scott Jurek are good examples, among many many others.

Good luck.

Yeah if you've been on greasy cheeseburgers and pizza for the majority of your lift and transitioning over to plant based then obviously you're going to have more energy, feel better and improve your overall athletic ability.

Game changers did a great job breaking down the scientific aspects of going plant based and how you can better please your significant other better while you're sleeping lol. Great documentary featuring celebrities like Lewis Hamilton and Arnie who have gone vegan but I didn't like how they didn't really show you WHAT everyone is eating throughout the day. If you're in a place like Cali or Vancouver vegan options with good quality produce are a lot easier to come by making the transition much easier but us being 8 hours away prices and availability can be challenging at times.

My GF is a Natural Nutritionist and we do our best to limit our meat intake but still enjoy a good steak or seafood at times. I have a severe nut allergy so have never fully committed to going vegan due to alot of cheeses, desserts and alternatives made from things like cashew butter and other forms of my kryptonite.

It is completely natural for humans to eat meat and the species would have been in extreme danger if it hadn’t been so. Humans have teeth that were designed for cutting and tearing flesh. Humans also have a digestive system that is designed to digest both meat and plants. This wouldn’t have been necessary if humans were meant to be herbivores.

My brother and his looney wife and family went vegan.  But they are also socialist democrats, voted for Hussein Obama and Killary.

But you go girl!

You're completely uninformed. Come back when you've actually educated yourself on nutrition, and have an educated opinion.

Eating a good balanced diet is important whatever you choose to eat or avoid. It is perfectly possible to be healthy and happy if you eat meat or not provided that you understand which foods to choose and combine to give your body the nutrients it needs. The quality of the ingredients is as important as the quantity.

Each to their own, in my opinion. I don't eat anywhere as much meat as I used to. I have become allergic to beef anyway but while bacon still smells so good, I  won't be giving that up!

Lots of the top athletes around the world don’t eat meat mAn.

And they supplement b/c there are micronutrients that come from meat that the body needs they don't get or if they do it's not enough. The issue is less just meat and more about how the animals are raised and what they are feed. If you ate wild meats with the right proportion of veggies, fruits, nuts & legumes the vast majority will be quite healthy.
