Stock handlebar size 2010 RMZ250

I got a new bike to me and it’s a 2010 RMZ 250 and I wanted to get some hand guards. I was wondering what dimension the stock Renthal bars are on it.

All dirt bike handlebars are 7/8" in diameter at their ends, where the controls mount (throttle tube, clutch and brake levers)

standard bars are 7/8" their whole width, from end to end including the mounting point at the fork's triple clamp.

 

What distinguishes a 'Fat bar' is the larger 1-1/8" diameter at the clamp

so easy enough to see if your current bars are 7/8" or 1-1/8".

 

While 'flag' style hand guards mounts are typically 7/8" and can install to any bar (pending there is enough 'straight section' left to mount them)

one consideration for mounting bark buster style handguards on a 1-1/8" bar is that their inner mounting clamp may end up in a tapered section of the Fat bar.
