There is a 2007 KTM 250 EXC and 2007 KTM 250 EXC-F.

https://thumpertalk.com/reviews/vehicles/3744-250-exc/ (2 stroke)

https://thumpertalk.com/reviews/vehicles/3745-250-exc-f/ (4 stroke)

If you you don't see the model YEAR you want, tap the "submit  a vehicle" and add it. We allow members to add years, just not makes/models to avoid duplicates.

And submit it is locked.

there’s already a 2007 exc in the list, which is why it’s locked (can’t submit a duplicate year that’s already in the system)

the exc-f does not have a 2007, and therefore is NOT locked when trying to add the 2007

I think the issue is, someone added the 250 EXC (which is a two stroke), but uploaded a picture of the EXC-F (which is a four stroke). I think the existing 250 EXC needs to be edited to reflect that it is a two stroke.

Ahhhh, now it makes sense.  I couldn’t figure out what you were going on about.

yup, that’s the wrong photo on the 2 stroke model that’s in the list. I’ll find a correct photo for it

Thanks man

This might take a while to sort out.  Now that I know the issue, I'm looking closer at it, and this seems to be one of those weird KTM naming things they do where 2 bikes had the same model designation.

I think, (still trying to confirm)..that in 2007 they didn't have the EXC-F yet, but instead had a 250 EXC (2 stroke) and also had a 250 EXC (Enduro..i.e. 4 stroke)...so 2 bikes with the same exact model designation.

So yeah, this is going to take more digging to try and find accurate info from 13 years ago.
