Custom Steering stem

Not sure if much of a frame difference, but, Ive done a couple of CR500 swaps to xr600. My experience is the 89-91 CR500 complete front end was a total bolt-on. I didnt need any spacers or special bearings. Now am updating my 97 xr600 to 2004 crf450r front end by Precision Concepts. Simply got the All Balls Racing kit, which is simply (I believe) a 3mm spacer on the lower bearing, before new bearing is pressed on, came with seals, spacers. No big deal. The bearing kit wasnt a problem at all

I think the xr6 has a longer steering stem, closer to the length of the CRF. Not positive though. I do know there was no way the crf stem would fit on the 250 without an extended bearing cup or other modifications.
