Rattling from engine

Recommended Posts

My engine on my 2017 Husqvarna fc 250 rattles when the clutch is not pulled in. I’m not sure if this is normal as it is my first 4 stroke but I assume it is not. Any help or knowledge about this will help alot

While moving or stationary?

If it's moving, chances are you're hearing the rear chain.

If it's stationary, chances are you're hearing the clutch.

Wouldn't worry too much about it.  These KTM/HUSQ 4T's are noisy little motors which gets especially worse after you install a skid plate.

My ‘19 FX 350 rattles like a MF in 2nd and 3rd with no clutch. Probably at around 25-40mph but goes away if I speed up or give a little clutch. It’s common with these motors and have had it professionally inspected

Just purchased a used 2018 FE501, 109 miles on it. Geared down to 14/50 and this clutch/chain noise is evident at times of moderate accel. Wasn't that noticeaable with 14/45 and oem chain.
