Lectron on a kx125 or any 125 2 stroke?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, was wondering if anyone has put a lectron carberateur on a 125 2 stroke and if it made any difference on it? Did it start easier jetting always correct? Just mainly wondering if it is worth $480?

Lectron was a good carb in the 1970's.  Your stock carb is far better.

They don't compensate for altitude or temperature.  That's 100% bullshit.  They have two adjustments so if they aren't perfect out of the box you have very little you can do to get it there.  Your stock carb has a needle you can change and an air screw, just like a Lectron, but it also has a pilot jet and main jet.  Jets and needles are widely available and cheap.

Anybody that shells out $480 rather than jet their carb properly is getting taken.  You might as well put drum brakes on too while you're at it.
