Yz450f 2006

So I’m having a problem , I have a yz450f 2006 it cranks but just backfires , any idea what it could be ?

I would start with that. It is easy to do with basic mechanical skills and they need to be kept in spec anyways for longevity of the engine. As with anything really, keeping a clean air filter is critical to increase the life of the valves and internal engine components. Refer to the service manual for how to and for the specs or check on YouTube there are plenty of videos out there. Record your measurements for each valve then if they need adjusting remove the shims and measure them being sure to record which shin went with which valve and google up a valve shim calculator to get your new sizes. If you are getting close to the smallest size shims consider replacing the valves sooner rather than later.
