1997 RM 125 Fuel Line Question

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I've gotta order a few parts for my bike and I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what I need. I've been looking at this manual I found but I can't find where it specifies the exact diameter of the fuel line.

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/832588/Suzuki-Rm125.html

Is this bike's fuel line 1/4" or 5/16"?

Part I'm looking at: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-fuel-line-p

Thanks!

The OEM part number suggest it's a 6.5mm ID fuel line which makes it closer to 1/4" (6.35mm)

If you are not sure, bring your old line/carburetor to an auto parts store, they have rubber fuel lines of various sizes in bulk.

Awesome, thanks! I didn't think to try a local auto parts store.

I have a 98 that hardly gets ridden.  Built a mount for carrying a chainsaw for trail working days.  I use 5/16 with a clamp, this way it is easy to pull the line off for fuel in the saw.  5/16 will not leak if you have a clamp on it.  Make sure you buy a good, designated fuel line, the cheaper stuff gets hard as a rock.
