supercross Tomac Only Wins When His Comp is Hurt and Feld Stacks The Deck

Well they finally did it, both his main competitors were hurt and sick, they stacked the deck in his favor with weeks of racing near his home and at altitude. Took a lot to make him SX champ.

I feel bad for Tomac fans, since they have to settle for an asterisk win.

So far... If this is  his only championship in my book I don't even consider him a champion. If he can win a real season I'll acknowledge this one.

Can you please call into pulpmx and voice your opinion, I’d pay money to listen

No one steps up to the Big’s and does exceptional. Not in their first year!!!

You’re right, with only two rare exceptions. McGrath and Dungey both won the Championship their first year.

McGrath didn't though. JMB still delivered a beat down to the King in Mc's first season.

Nope.  McGrath's rookie 250 SX season was '93 and he won.  MC won the 125W in 91 and 92.

Mc’ raced the ‘92 Tampa Bay SX, 250 class, and got schooled HARD by JMB.

(Granted, everyone got schooled hard, not just Mc)

MC was racing the 125W at that point.  So he got his feet wet in a few 250 races.  Doesn't change the fact that he won the 250 SX championship his rookie season.

Fair enough. Also doesn’t change the fact that JMB schooled that boy HARD!!!

Dreamer KTMrider4life Tomac won it straight up! So where did you dream up the idea Webb and Rocsen where hurt?

Webb's illness / subsequent crash was the difference in points.

Roczen was having problems in the altitude + heat combo.  I also think Roczen was getting arm pump in those gnarly rutted rhythms.  The day Roczen won, it wasn't hot, and the track didn't get rutted.

Tomac had plenty in reserve for Webb if circumstances demanded and has Kenny boi intimidated.
