ISbird Posted July 8, 2020 The plate assembly (handle for the choke) is stuck inside the carb and won’t initiate. Therefore i have to turn the gas to prime and basically start it the way i would if i were to have flooded it. I’ve already pulled hard enough to pull the handle off the assembly. I don’t really know what else to do unless WD-40 would do the trick.
dad2u Posted July 8, 2020 WD40 can't hurt as this is a shaft that moves in a hollow opening. If you can't free up the choke, you will have to pull the carb and disassemble it to find out why it is binding. Keep your fingers crossed.
GuyGraham Posted July 9, 2020 WD40 (or similar like GT85) should sort it - mine gets very sticky and a quick squirt with some lube where the 3 shafts attached to the plate, enter the carb body soon sorts it out
