R.L. Sheldrake Posted July 11, 2020 I bought a switch from JCR Speed Shop https://www.jcrspeedshop.com/products/crf450l-rear-brake-pressure-switch I also purchased a Goodridge pressure switch (M10x1.25), the 90 degree boot, and the connector from Frank at Cycle Terminal and fabricated a backup. Mike Barger Posted July 11, 2020 When replacing the brake switch, do you have to bleed the rear brake?

If your not familiar with bleeding: Basically fill brake fluid, pump pedal, hold pressure, crack bleeder - the. Repeat. No special tools needed. The AP3 kit only let in a couple bubbles. Basically bleed until it feels strong or no more air.
Flash1034 Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) Thank you, sir. I just ordered the AP3 unit. Where does it attach? I don’t even see it in their picture. Edited July 11, 2020 by Flash1034

The harness plugs in right in the middle of the cases, between the emissions canister and rear shock. There will be some pictures in the instructions to help you out. Here is a pic of mine! Flash1034 Posted July 12, 2020 (edited) Thanks. Where does the other end attach (the actual switch)? Edited July 12, 2020 by Flash1034
Apaden1 Posted July 12, 2020 3 hours ago, Flash1034 said: Thanks. Where does the other end attach (the actual switch)? The switch replaces the brake banjo bolt with a banjo switch. Basically goes between the brake line and rear master cylinder in place of the banjo bolt. This is how KTM/HQV runs their brake switches.
