YZ125 11 digit vin

Hello, I am having a problem finding the exact year of my bike it was sold to me as a 03 or 04 but it only has a 11 digit vin and can’t verify this can anyone help?

Nice looking bike. My best guess would be an '03, at least if it was a US bike. The forks look like the 46mm which would be '02 and '03 here. No rear brake remote reservoir says '03 or '04.

European bikes have a different coding in the serial numbers that always confounds us Americans. You may have to contact Yamaha. I've heard they are surprising helpful and give solid answers.

Check the diameter at the top of the upper fork tubes...

46mm = 2003

48mm = 2004

That may be larger than the 46mm 48mm, are you not supposed to measure the chrome lower tubes?
