KX250F Battery powered fan

Recommended Posts

My 2014 Kx250f overheats in the woods and I've seen that many other people's do. I ordered a stronger radiator cap which should help stop the antifreeze overflow, but I was thinking about just getting a fan for the radiator. I don't want to hook the fan to my stator because I know it will just blow out my stator and mess everything up so I'm going to just put a battery in for the fan and maybe eventually for an electric start if I can.

So basically wondering if anyone has tips on battery placement for my bike, which battery to get, where to put it, and should I hook the battery to the stator so it recharges itself? anyone have a link to a video of someone doing it or something I'm no professional so a video or a picture might help but I'm sure I could figure something out if anyone has tips on where to put it and what battery to get

I'd install an overflow bottle something like this.

Otherwise not sure why you would not just run a rad fan off the OEM electrics with either the temp sensor switch or on/off switch.

If you really wanted to add a 2nd battery IMO you would be essayist to install an on/off swtich which means you need to turn the fan on when you think the rads are over heating and for an idea, I've been paying with installing this rechargeable battery to run a LED light on my CRF250R (no oem battery) and it works here and just mock up during testing.

the older/cheaper6000mAH one I have not longer for sale but this is the more expensive 20,000mAh one and if you only turned it on/off when actually needed the charge could last like 6 or so hrs. Then wire in a quick connect to recharge if you didn't want to take it out to recharge.

I don't really want to add the overflow resupply tank, I think the new radiator cap should fix the leaking. But I don't have a battery in the first place. So I want to add one in.

Anyone know what's a good battery powered fan for a 2014 KX250F. I want one that's wireless so I don't have to attach it to the bikes power at all something that comes with a battery that I can just charge so I don't have to get a battery u for my bike. Something that I can add a toggle switch to would be nice
