KX250 Kx 250 lighting

I’d like to add lighting, horns etc somewhere down the line.

the stator on the KX has two coils. On the KDX one is for lighting and one is for ignition (I think). Why does the kx have two coils?

what I’m thinking is I may able to use one coil, re wrap to generate a greater output and use lighting from this stator. Any one tried this? Or would I need to get the KDX stator, flywheel, lighting and ignition coil, switchgear etc

id rather not go down the battery and LED route but I’m open to ideas.

Any input would be appreciated.

Fit a KDX250 ignition.....buy a lighting stator.....buy a Eline.

I was lucky enough to find an Eline (I love you man!) for my KX, fitted a custom harness, fuse box, etc.  Running head/tail lights, brake lights and horn.

I’ve seen a lighting coil by steahly but I’m not convinced. I hear it’s not up to the job. 
 

I’ve looked for an Eline for a good while and no joy.  
 

What will I need to go down the KDX route, pretty much everything?

I never did that swap, you have to search around.   Elines pop up on KX Facebook groups. Join a bunch and ask.   You can also contact Ricky Stator to sed if one can be built.
