Carbondale, CO MX Vacation

Hello all, 

I have a trip planned to come up to Colorado and ride some real single track on September 27. We are staying in Carbondale, CO and are looking for any advice on places we need to ride. I foresee us spending a good amount of time in Taylor Park. Wondering if its worth driving up to Boco Mountain? Are there any places closer to Carbondale we should know about?
