XR600 tires (on OE wheels)

Hi, anyone got any tire recommendations for the original 21” and 18” wheels on the XR600/650?

I’m personally looking for some street tires, fitting the original wheels.

Also, who knows the maximum tire sizes on the OE wheels, both maximum for the wheel and for the swing arm.

i like the tusk Dsports...great price($110 for the pair)....they work great on the asphalt,unless you plan on dragging a knee...lol....offroad the rear is superb in all shitzuations, the front works very well on asphalt,hard pack,soft dirt...mud it can be a handful. they wear very nicely, i have about 1,000 miles on them now and probably going to get 1000 more before it's time for new set...there a good choice to get until you feel your perfect set...good luck...god bless

For value tires, the Shinko 705 is a great choice on the street.  They get good traction on pavement and wear well.

I currently have a set of Heidenau K60 Scouts on mine as my "street" tires.  They also get great traction on pavement and last longer.  But they're considerably better off road then the Shinko 705.

You can put a 120 or a 130 on the rear.
