2020 kx250, Need helping figuring out sag setting

Recommended Posts

Hey yall, I have a 20 Kx250f,  trying to start setting sag and changing clicker settings. for starters I want to do my sag. Originally it was 111 mm . I took it down to 109mm. But I've seen a few recommendations of 103-105 mm. I've also been told that 110 is a good sag setting. The owners manual only talks about spring length not race sag. Any help would be appreciated on this subject. I am 195 lbs 5,10 . C class rider. most tracks in the area are sand/loam.

You will probably need stiffer springs front and back.

With the rear race sag set at the value that the owner's manual recommends, what is the residual free sag measurement?

If less than 25mm, that's a sign the shock spring has excessive preload and too soft for you.

Even at C level riding it will make a difference as that keeps the suspension up in it's stroke and the bike handle as designed.

Sand/soft loam track conditions also favor stiffer that stock setups.
