I don't remember who but I think there have been at least 2.  Every time the 450 was a 1 year thing though.

It was Brock. We won a 250 title but pointed out. Mitch gave him a 450 to ride the next year. It wasn't that long ago.

Your probably thinking of Rattray. He raced the 250 indoors and the 450 outdoors but he was on the factory 450 not a PC bike

Three teams want him. 
 

 I heard that ever since Tickle, the contract is void after they point out.  
 

Martin was under contract when he pointed out. Mitch told him to take a dive but he wanted to move up.
