2.0 bar rad cap

Recommended Posts

My fx 350 burped some coolant on a slow section last weekend it has the stock 1.8 bar/ 26 psi cap, thinking about trying a 2.0 which = 29 psi. That should not cause problems should it? Only 3 lbs more.

If you dont have a fan that's what you should get for slow section riding. The 350s and 450s run hot.

Get the trailtech fan. Its plug and play, your bike already has a plug on the harness for it. It also has a temp gauge so you know your temp and it allows you to set the fan so it only runs when your bike is at a certain temp and above.

Even cheaper.. put a coolant catch tank on the bike and not care if it burps a bit.  It'll draw the coolant back when it's needed.  If you fill the catch tank, then put an expensive fan on it.

Yea that’s good info,,, wait until you have hot spots in your motor that boils your coolant out reducing the already limited cooling.  :naughty: Manage the heat before you boil is the better route. Solving heat issues with that expensive fan is very common and solves 99% of issues IF the system is working correctly.

Installed fan today, EZ perfect fit with Acerbis 3 gal tank, set to 190 F, watched it come on, perfect, shut of @ 189. Bike did not have the pigtail for the fan so had to go to the battery with included harness, no prob tho. Oops forgot to hold phone sideways, srry

What year is your bike? Pre 2017?

You'll be happy with the fan. It's pretty much the undisputed standard on these bikes.
