Rock gardens and riding rocks , riverbed rock riding ..

I like rocks. If you have a good momentum it just goes- Sometimes I need to slow down for bigger ones that are in bigger rock clusters. When going slow need to be really careful about when and where you put a foot down. It should be purposeful, giving you leverage where you need it. Going slower takes way more energy. And it is harder to stay loose one the bike. Sometimes I need to load my front end to get over really large rocks. I once ran over both my legs trying to get off and reposition my bike.......Also if rocks are slippery then it gets harder to predict what you need to do to offset the bikes movements.

I like to practice where there are a lot of rocks that way you can choose your own line. Every time I fight through a hard boulder section, it's always easier on the way back for some reason.
