Chicken-N-Waffles My Rides (3) Posted November 7, 2020 More competitive product development. Electric start fuel injected big bore two stroke woods bikes! Supercharged everything else! OK it really depends on who they hire to run it, let's hope for an enthusiast management team.
mxaniac My Rides (8) Posted November 7, 2020 On the less sunny side, one reason Kawasaki is spinning off the motorcycle and off-road four-wheeler business is because the company sees weak prospects going forward. "Taking a broad view of the industry as a whole, it faces significant issues such as an aging customer base and compliance with environmental regulations," the KHI statement said. KABLEXXL Biden 2021 Posted November 7, 2020 Liberalsim, socialism = inferior products more regs and less freedom, thanks to Kawasaki for pointing this out. 2

What today's US powersports customer wants. The Japanese companies need to service the American market. They don't have an indigenous dirt bike culture like the Europeans do and the other parts of Asia are mostly small bore for transportation. I have a friend who works for Kawi trains I guess they are pretty damn good.
Piney Woods Posted November 8, 2020 (edited) Good point about the culture,,,two totally different worlds! And the US culture regarding DBs is totally different than the Euros also. To the bulk of America we "enthusiasts" are seen as immature children playing with irritating toys destroying the planet. Traveling in Europe or attending an event is an eye-opener to the respect given motorcyclist. So much more sophistication than what we experience here in the US. Into the sunset Posted November 10, 2020 I suggest it’s difficult to market ships, helicopters, trains, bridges and motorcycles all at once. By splitting off the powersports division they may be better.
