Always problems base gasket

Does a bad base gasget cylinder suck in air not blow it out cant get bike to run very good except at full throttle for short time running in put some detergent in water expecting bubbles from head or base gasket heD gasket fine I think base gasket looked like the bubble were running up to the gasket getting suvked to it possible?

Two stroke? It will suck air and cause a lean condition. You can try spraying wd-40 around the base gasket to see if your idle speed changes. Did you pull the cylinder off/reuse the gasket? What do you mean by bubble?

yea new gaskets new topend new nikasil we used to use detergent to check gas leaks so used the same idea but am sure it was sucking the bubbles up to the gasket from 10 mm below?

Most automotive sealants are not gasoline resistant and eventually get turned to mush from the vapors, risking yet another air leak.

For such usage, only a case specific sealer like Yamabond, Hondabond, Motoseal should be considered.

Many base gaskets (like the one on the late model YZ125) already have a bead of sealant molded into the gasket itself.

 

Ideally you should check the cylinder and case mating surfaces for trueness or gouges and address any of those issues first.
