Cullins Posted January 7 IMO Sherco went too big too fast Not sure everyone is aware, but RYP/Ryan Young Products who where previously just the trials Importer took over the Sherco Enduro line late 2019. Without going into too many details in early 2020 RYP had a new owner. The new owner had previously just been involved with the team Factory One side of things. So now it’s not even called RYP any longer. At the time they had most of the Pro Trials riders, the Baylor brothers and Webb as their major riders. However there was also a large list other factory supported riders. From what I’ve heard the new owner has most of his capital in the air line industry. Well we all know how that’s been going. Most of the trials team has left as has most of the other supported riders. Sherco has now moved from Kentucky to Texas which makes sense as that’s where the owner is. If you take a look at Beta they have had slow and steady growth, which has always been their plan. Earlier in the year it looked like Sherco flew right past Beta with all these rider signings and they where going to kill it. Well now look where they are. Fortunately they should still have some good results with Webb in Extreme and Smage on the trials side. Taking a step back is a good move and will allow them to come back stronger and who knows, they might just be waiting a new 450 for guys to compete on 2 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
