throttlejunkie1 Posted January 9 Well, i found this gem 3yrs ago in NV while on a trip. Showed the add to my buddy and he wanted it, so we drove out after launching our jets and looked at it. Ended up in the truck bed along with my WR and back to the valley we went. 3 yrs later....🤣. He aint done anything. Long story short, he gave it to me! Locked up crank. And needs some attention in other areas. So! Parts arrived yesterday, new bearings and OEM crank installed. Some new other stuff too. But the damn piston/rings/cylinder was perfect! throttlejunkie1 Posted January 9 Top end is tomorrow, carb & tank is now ready for some fresh gas. That took half the day. I might stall on the top end because i wanted it back in the frame before i checked the valves. My right arm is AFU so it’s hard on me to wrench on the table top. throttlejunkie1 Posted January 13 (edited) Almost done. Started on the 46th kick 🤣... valves are good, carb is not. Runs with the choke on only. throttlejunkie1 Posted January 22 So close! Waiting on the mail man. Water pump mech was a little leaky. Ordered a new shaft, seals & bearing kit. Decals came in so gave me a little bit time back in the garage. Local parts/salvage hooked me up with a “newer” back tire assembly...good bearings, hub, spokes & a 45t rear sprocket! Also snagged a WR stainless factory pipe 😎. Hurry up mail man, im ready to ride this overweight heffer! 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
