There are non ebike mountain bikes that cost 3500 and have no rear suspension. There are actually disadvantages to rear suspension in hill climbs and such. And the guys doing big jumps/tricks often dont run rear suspension. So some high end bikes still cost a lot but purposely dont have rear suspension.
