Long travel truck vs Can-Am ?

I have been in the market for a UTV for my wife and I. I like to moto , but its just not her thing.

 Can-Am turbo seems like the obvious choice, but what about a long travel truck?

I was thinking a new 2 door colorado short bed with a long travel kit. 

I have a regular chevy 3500, but its too big to offroad and I could actually use the tricked out colorado for around town stuff since its still street legal...even have some fun on the way to the grocery store. 

FYI Ill be needing a new "smaller vehicle" soon enough, for when the 3500 is hooked up to the trailer and such. So that's how I can Justify the 30k vs 60k price tag.

Any thoughts?
