Does anyone know which characters in the VIN dennotate the MODEL YEAR of the bike?
Should be the tenth digit...
so if the 10th digit is the number 1, the bike is an 01 Model?
The 10th digit should be a letter, not a number. The year is designated by the 10th digit of the vin. Your local dealer should know and if you can't or won't ask them email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I have a list of the corresponding letters with the years.
On the bill of sale, the 10th is a number, the number 1, but I will double check the bike to make sure that that is correct. Thanks for the info.
