WD-40 for throttle cables

can i just use wd-40 to lube my throttle cables or would it just be best to get some cable lube?

I would invest in some cable lube... wd-40 becomes sticky once it sets up. I have even heard of people using wd-40 as grip glue.....Wd-40 is good for just about everything but lubrication.

ok, thanks for the help.

I use contact cleaner to wash it out, then TriFlow as a lube.

A few good shots with Tri-Flow and you'll be set.
