Farewell, my old friend...

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say "farewell" to a man who was a real asset to our sport, and a good friend to me, Mr. Ed Dula. Ed was a Race Tech rep in Las Vegas, who was somehow much more friendly and helpful than the average guy. Ed had a massive heart attack in his sleep, and passed away a few months back. Ed had 2 twin sons who race, and he was always at the track. I was fortunate enough to have Ed set up and maintain my suspension as I evolved as a motocross racer.

Ed would watch me practice and race, so he knew, better than I did, what adjustments my bike needed. Often, when I'd enter the pits, I'd catch him spinning wrenches confidently on my bike. He'd always smile and say, "how 'bout you give that a try." He was never wrong. Huge gain in control every time he touched my bike. Ed knew his stuff...

I miss you, ED. God bless you and the family you left behind. Like so many others, I'm better for having known you. ?
