What could stop it II (it's not the plug)

Recommended Posts

So my bike wont start...it died at a stoplight the other day and I was hoping it was just a fouled plug. :snore:

I replaced the plug with an 8EK today and all it did was kill the battery :awww::D:lol:

What else would stop a 2003 DRZ-S from starting? :awww::lol::D :D :thumbsup::lol::devil:

Lets cut the problem in half to start with

Take the plug lead off , insert a sparkplug & lean the plug against the frame

Turn the motor over with the ignition on and see if you have a nice big fat blue spark

If you don’t then there is an electrical problem

If you do then there is a fuel problem

My ges would be that you have a blocked jet in your carby
