Another KLX 100 Jetting Question

I just picked up a KLX 110 for my son. We live at about 3500 feet above sea level and the bike seems to be runing rich. It has a 38 slow jet and an 80 main with no ajustment on the needle. I notice most of you are runing bigger jets with modifications. I was always under the impression as you enhance/modify performance you ran the jetting leaner. The bike is popping between the slow jet and needle and cleans out at full throttle. I'm wondering what someone at our altitude are runing for jets.
