A few questions about my new 250R

Recommended Posts

Here's my first question(s)

1. On the OIL dipstick, is there an o-ring at the top of it?

2. Is it just my 250 or is the Fuel Valve switched around so it looks backwards?

3. I road the bike for about 3 hours (for the break in) I gave it a good ride using it at all RPM's...I changed the oil after that ride. Is it fully broken in?

4. I do a decent amount of trail riding as well as open riding with some track. When riding on the trails I come across a few big puddles. Like ones that are 30 feet long and 2-3 feet deep. Will the "race" engine crack if it gets wet??

2) It's backwards so you don't hit it and accidentaly turn it off during a race.

3) It's fully broken in if you rode for 3 hrs. Get an hourmeter at Sears to really keep track of the hours accurately.

4)No, it won't crack but you should route the crankcase vent up out of the way with the one that goes in on top of the airboot. It will suck water up and get into your tans oil if you don't. It's the black one on top of the case, behind the cylinder.
