Anyone know the shim stack for a wr450f mid-valve?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to re-valve my friends 2004 yz450f for woods, and I thought I would start by going to a stock wr450f mid-valve set up. If anybody could give me the stack that would be most appreciated.

I have info for the 04 wr250 not sure if they are the same though? Here it is:

16x1

20x4

27x1

27x1

27x1

20x1

16x1

14x3

14x3

14x3

14x3

25x4

In the WR's that I have seen there is an extra 14x3 vs the YZ but there is a 24x1 missing on the WR between the 20x1 and third 27x1. What does this guy weigh? Is he A, B or C rider? You guys run SETRA series, right?

Is there a "place" FAQ etc to get this information for the various year YZ's?

I'd be interested in knowing the difference between the 03 YZF & WR forks Mid & Base valves.

He's 185lbs, 54 yr old "B" rider. I'm installing the gold valves for him, but I don't want to go to a check plate system. I've found that that is just too soft. I had good luck on my yz250f with the gold valves and a slightly stiffened wr250f mid-valve
