Ricky Carmichael sweeps both motos, wins 11th AMA Championship, season remains

250: Ricky Carmichael, the all-time leader in AMA victories, won both motos

today, clinching the 2004 AMA 250 National Championship. In addition to winning

the championship, Carmichael remains undefeated in this 2004 motocross season -

22 races, 22 victories! Second overall today went to Kevin Windham, with

finishes of 2/3. Third overall went to Mike Alessi with motos of 5/4. It's only

his second ever professional race.

Jeremy McGrath rode his first national since May 2000, on a Team Honda CRF 450.

McGrath, Alessi, Chad Reed, & others were involved in a 250 first moto pile-up.

It was a great race, you had to be there to see all the action, in the pits, in the stands, even on the track when Reed punched Alessi for taking him down.

Please we all need detail.
