notchy shifting

Recommended Posts

I've got about 300 miles on my new S, and the shifting is notchy compared to any bike I've had in quite a while. I changed the oil to yamalube 10-40 (nonfriction modified) and that helped some, but I'm still not happy. Clutch works good, no drag, and shifting is OK, you just have to concentrate more than normal, and the occasional clunk is something i'm not used to. Is this a normal wear-in issue for the suzuki?

no clutch issues if you use a synthetic with out friction modifiers.

i use silkolene pro-4 15/50 exclusively.

it is about $9-10 a liter however.worth every penney.
