broke shift shaft

Recommended Posts

Our son rammed a tree this weekend and broke the shifter off his 02 TTR90. We already took left and right crankcase covers off and got the shaft out and are ordering a new shaft and circlips and stuff as indicated in the manual. I believe we should be able to put it back together without to much problems but my husband doubts my "manual-reading-skills" just a little. Not too long ago, he took the crankcase covers off and replaced the kick axle. So I'm sure we can handle this too. But I do have one problem. I'm not sure where the torsion spring that is next to the stopper lever attaches to. I think I figured out one end, but am not sure where the other end goes to. Can anybody help me out? Also, any other suggestions on what we need to pay special attention to, or what would make the job easier sure would help. Thanks.:awww:
